| Hannah
Vicary's Hannah Trainwreck, call name "Hannah", is our first yellow labrador. We chose her because she was the largest in her litter and she was very calm and mild tempered.
When she was younger she was very pure white with pure black eye rims and a black nose, but her color is showing some yellow now that she's over 2 years old.
Hannah just loves to get dirty too! So she doesn't stay white for long.
Hannah is our big baby and wants to be loved lots. When she wags her tail, her whole body wags with her.
She likes to play "football" and knows the word all too well! Hannah tries to block and retreive.
She's just a big farm dog. We gave her the name "Trainwreck" because she is so powerful that when she comes running at you,
it would be a "train wreck" if she hit you.
She's my husband's favorite because he loves big husky dogs and ones with a lot of power behind them.
Hannah would not be a good dog for an apartment or an elderly person because she's so big,
but for the person who has a large yard with a lot of room to run, this type of dog would be great! Hannah has a threatening bark and
barks to let us know of any visitors. If I didn't know her puppy-like personality, I'd be a bit scared to walk up to a home with her around.
Hannah is a larger lab. On 3/19/2008 she weighed in at 69.6lbs. Her vet checkup was good and she received her annual vaccinations. She was put on IverHart Max heartworm preventative. IverHart Max is administered once a month to prevent heartworm disease and to treat and control roundworms, hookworms and tapeworm infections in dogs.
Hannah was born August 25, 2005. She can sit, shake, speak loudly and speak softly, lay down, go "nite-nite"
and knows to go to her kennel when we say "Kennel" and has adapted well to our in-ground fencing system to protect her from the road.
Hannah loves our 4 kids. They lay right on top of her and she's fine with it. They can also take bones or food away from her with no problem.
She does alert us if anyone pulls in the driveway or walks in the yard...even the rabbits don't get away with it!
She's never been aggresive in any way though. I don't know of any labrador that's been aggresive.
Hannah is taller & has a wider (blockier) nose than Hazel. But Hannah doesn't care to bring you back anything you throw in order for her to retrieve,
she'd rather keep it for herself to play with & see you chase her for it. But she learns very quickly so a little more training on my part would probably help with that. But I find it too cute that she's so different from Hazel in that way by having her own style of playing.
She's the very lovable kind of dog that kids enjoy hanging on and she doesn't mind a bit. She loves to sleep with everyone at night, but she takes up most of the bed!
And if you tell her to get down, the puppy eyes get to you and you give in because you want her to know she's loved.
Hannah's genetics are "Bbee". She is a yellow lab (ee) that carries the black gene (B) and a chocolate gene (b).
