“Yellow, Black and Chocolate Labrador Retriever Puppies in Indiana”All prices for our pups are $700USD for limited registration. Anyone who knows us knows we love our puppies and it's important for us to maintain healthy pups with excellent temperaments. We strive to keep our pups healthy and this means that we need to continue with our valued feeding program, our upkeep and care and being sure each pup has a very thorough veterinary examination before going home with his/her new family. There is very little or no profit in our breeding program depending on what we spend to ensure the quality of our pups and dogs. If we include the yearly cost of providing for our dogs and not just during their pregnancy and while the pups are with us, we actually have a lot more debt than income. LIMITED REGISTRATION All of our puppies are currently sold on AKC Limited Registration for $700. Limited registration means that the dog can not be used for breeding and the pups produced by a dog with limited registration will not be able to be registered through the AKC. This cost of a purebred labrador puppy also requires a spay/neuter clause in the contract. FULL REGISTRATION If you are interested in FULL REGISTRATION, please call us to discuss this option. This price may be higher depending upon puppy. Full Registration means that you can use your dog for breeding purposes. Some AKC events may require FULL REGISTRATION on your puppy/dog. Most people are looking for a "pet quality" pup only, so full registration is not normally requested. You can read about what I feed my dogs here. I want my labs to have beautiful coats and get the food they love and need. Being waterdogs, I am quite sure their ancestors used to live on lots of fish! DEPOSITS ON PLANNED LITTERSA $100US non-refundable deposit* is required to hold or reserve a future purebred lab puppy from one of our litters. Your reserved pup is based on the time deposit is paid. Should you be first to put a deposit down, you will be first to pick from that specific litter. Your deposit holds your place on the list to pick. We do NOT let the picks begin until the pups are 5 to 6 weeks old. This way you can better determine exactly which puppy you want as they become more recognizable with individual characteristics (See below for more on waiting lists and deposits). The deposits are due when the pups are born. Please note that we do NOT pick your pup for you. We can make suggestions, however we believe this is your decision to make as for the right choice for your family. Afterall, you are bringing another lifelong family member into your home and only you know your family best. Please understand that once deposits are paid, if for any reason you decide that you no longer want one of our pups, then you lose your deposit. Deposits hold your spot on the waiting list and therefore I must turn other potential families away once the waiting list is full, so this is the reason deposits are non-refundable. Please be aware that Waiting Lists are not a guarantee of pick of the litter but do guarantee a call back. The waiting list holds your place for a call back once the litter is born in order to verify if you want to place a deposit on a pup. Your deposit is what holds your place in the litter. However, we do call people back in order of the waiting list to place their deposits. We cannot guarantee litter size, color, sex, height or weight of pup. We do currently have a waiting list (see below) for our next litter. Please don't hesitate to get on the waiting list even if we have 20 spots filled. We've had families go from spot #20 to spot #6. Although we cannot guarantee you a pup, our average litter size for our dogs is 7-10 pups and if someone drops themselves from the list for reasons such as unavailable sex or color preferred or an unforeseen circumstance such as job loss or health issues occur then you'll be called in the order of the waiting list for pups born. Meaning, if someone drops, you move up in line for pick of the litter. If someone is on both lists, they will usually drop their name from the 2nd waiting list once they get a puppy from the 1st waiting list thus moving everyone else up in line for a pup. There is no guarantee on the number of pups our dams can have due to stillborn pups or other unforeseen events, so we will have to wait until the pups are born to be sure of the number of pups we can place. Deposits are not due until the dam has the pups. Then we'll call everyone to verify they want to keep their spot on the waiting list. If they do, then they'll be required to send a non-refundable $100US deposit to hold their spot on the waiting list. We will notify everyone on the waiting list of the outcome the day the pups are born. If we can't provide you with a puppy from a current litter, you can add your name to one of our future waiting lists. If you do not pick the pup up by 9 weeks of age, you forfeit your deposit and the pup will be resold. We only hold pups up until they are 9 weeks old on pre-paid deposits, unless we've made a prior WRITTEN agreement. We do charge an additional fee of $50. per week past the 9 week date of pick up. SALES TAXDeposits are applied to your purchase price at the time of pick up. All prices do NOT include 7% Indiana sales tax. For example, purchase price of a pup is $700 x 7% sales tax = $749 final price. The buyer has to pay sales tax. AT BIRTHOnce the dam gives birth, the people on the waiting list will be called and informed of the outcome of the litter. Keep in mind that if someone withdrawls themselves from the waiting list, then you will move up in line. If for instance you are #1 on the waiting list, have confirmed you still want your place by paying your deposit and we have a litter of 12 puppies, then you will have 1st pick of 12 pups (2nd deposit gets 1st pick of only 11 pups as we take 1st deposit's pup out of the picture). At the time you choose your pup, we will put a colored collar or ribbon on your pup to mark which pup you choose. We may allow others to see your pup in order to determine size, color, markings & temperament compared to the rest of the litter. Then, when you pick your pup up, you will be the 1st to pick your pup from the 12 and he/she will still have his/her colored collar on. You can check back each week on your puppy until you take him or her home at 8 weeks old. We will absolutely not allow a puppy to leave his/her mother before 8 weeks of age. It is very important for your new puppy to get all the benefits of mom's care until he or she is 8 weeks old. You can click the "waiting list" link above to email us and enter your name on the list. We will respond to your email as soon as possible to let you know of your place. SOCIALIZING/TRAINING OUR PUPSIt's very important for us to be sure our pups are around our children and played with often before leaving our home. We have found that placing a puppy in one's home as early as 8 weeks old can be very beneficial to the new family and the children living in the household. The bonding time, training and household schedule is very important for a young puppy to become acquainted with and grow with. In our opinion early training and family socialization is primary key to having a good quality pet. Training your puppy should begin at 8 weeks old, as soon as you take him or her home with you. GUARANTEE and ABOUT PAGEWe ask that you read our entire guarantee page and our about page before being placed on our waiting list. We do NOT offer a hip and elbow guarantee at this time because we believe that environmental & nutritional factors play a definite role in whether your dog can develop hip dysplasia. Just as in humans, accidents, weather, diet and excercise will all affect a dog's health and well-being. We guarantee our pups' health for the first 72 hours of their life. After the pup leaves our home we cannot control the environment in which the pup is introduced. You will be required to sign a copy of our guarantee upon pickup of your new puppy. SHIPPING PUPPIESWe do NOT ship our puppies as we believe it is very important for you to meet us in person as well as for us to meet you in person before one of our pups can become part of your family. All personal information is kept confidential by Vic Labradors. Check your airline company for rules regarding onboard pet carriers before picking your puppy up and flying home with him/her. Most pet carriers will fit under your airline seat. PUPPY/DOG RETURN POLICYPlease keep in mind that if for any reason you decide that this puppy was not the best choice for you, we will take the puppy back. All charges for puppy's return to us will be at the buyer's expense. We will do our very best to find a new home for the puppy as we do not want to see our puppies going to shelters or rescues. If we resell the puppy/dog, we may or may not keep 1/2 the monies for time spent in advertising, feeding, socializing and rehoming the puppy/dog and return the other 1/2 to you. We do not guarantee reselling any puppy or dog that is returned to us as we will only do our best to rehome the puppy in a safe, loving family home. All AKC paperwork and veterinary documentation must accompany the puppy's safe return if possible. Returning the paperwork and all other documents will help us to find the best home possible for your dog/puppy. Please don't be afraid or embarassed to call us back if you cannot continue with providing for your puppy/dog. We know how hard it must be to make this decision and know that you want to do what is best for him/her. It is in your dog's best interest to have us help you in finding the best possible home for your dog. In fact, if anyone that has a labrador puppy or dog (even if not bred by Vicarylabradors) with all related paperwork and vet documentation needs help in finding a new home for the dog calls me, I will do my very best to help them find a home for the dog. In order to ensure that none of our dogs/puppies end up in shelters or rescues it will now be noted in the contract that Vicary Labradors will REQUIRE that you must first notify Vicary Labradors before transfer of ownership on any AKC papers is done. This does not mean that ownership cannot be transferred. It is just a measure to ensure our puppies/dogs are not euthanized. Not notifying Vicary Labradors of transfer of ownership can result in Vicary Labradors' right to regain ownership of the dog/pup without question. This just helps us maintain who new owners of our dogs/puppies are and where they are located at all times. It is best for our dogs and puppies that we know they are well cared for and protected in all ways and we love them enough to take them back.
